How do I know I can trust the people you send to my home?
We are very particular about who we hire. Every Diva undergoes a rigorous screening process that includes extremely thorough criminal background checks. Additionally, all our Divas are fully insured and bonded. Our Divas are all given top-notch training to meet our demanding standards, and we regularly conduct quality inspection checks. Trust is a vital component of our business. We pride ourselves on having earned the trust of our customers. Remember we are here to help relieve your stress not add to it.

How do I get started?
It's as easy as giving us a call! The first thing we will do is a walk-through visit of your home to discuss your individual cleaning needs, and to give you a free estimate. We will provide you with a comprehensive list of our wide range of services, so that you may choose what you'd like us to do for you. Together we will create a cleaning visit tailored to your specific requests.

What is a walk-through and why do I need one?
Our owner Laura will visit you in your home and together talk about your "pet peeves" We know that you're an individual with circumstances that are entirely unique to you. Laura will help you identify what your needs are, and then provide you with services that have been specially tailored just for you.

How often should I have my home cleaned?
Domestic Divas of Charleston offers regular housecleaning on a weekly, bi-weekly and monthly basis. In addition, we are available for special one-time cleans. These include move-in/move-outs, deep cleans, vacation rentals, and occasional maintenance cleans for customers that just need a little extra help. Our most popular visit is every two weeks, but we will schedule according to your needs.

Do I have to sign a contract?
No. There are no contracts to sign. Our moto is "We are only as good as our last clean". We are happy to earn your business each and every time we clean.

Do I have to be home when the cleaner comes?
You do not need to be home, although of course you're welcome to be. Many of our customers provide us with a key to their home and, when necessary, alarm codes. We keep your keys and access information extremely secure.

Will I always have the same house cleaner?
We want you to enjoy the kind of continuity in your service that allows you to never think twice about it. We make every effort to send the same cleaner to your home for each visit. Our goal is to provide you with consistency no matter what; even if circumstances demand a staffing change. Every Diva is extensively trained to utilize the same efficient, effective cleaning techniques. We begin our relationship with you by visiting your home and creating a customized work order for your needs, so that you can always count on receiving the same great, personalized service to which you're accustomed.

What if something is my home gets damaged? In the unfortunate event that a breakage occurs, we will promptly make every effort to have the item repaired or replaced. All our Divas are fully insured to guarantee the safety of your possessions.

Do you guarantee your work?
Absolutely. We have a 100% satisfaction guaranteed policy. Our goal is to give you the best cleaning possible each time. If something is not done to your satisfaction, call us within 24 hours and we will correct it for free, or give you a credit on your next clean.

How do I pay for my cleaning?
Payment is due the day the service is performed. You may pay by check, Visa, or Mastercard. Many customers prefer paying by credit card, a number may be left on file with us to use for each cleaning. For your convenience, if you leave a check, make it payable to Domestic Divas of Charleston. Place it in an envelope and leave it on the kitchen countertop. One-time cleans require a credit card payment.

Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes, we do! Domestic Divas of Charleston makes a great gift, whether it's for Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, a birthday or anniversary, or even to help a friend through a difficult time. Whatever the occasion, our gift certificates can be sent straight to the recipient or to you. Contact us for information.

What if I have a pet?
Pets are not a problem. We do need to be notified if you own pets, and we like to know their names. If you have any special requests regarding your pets, or there are any special circumstances we should be aware of, we will want this information to be included with your information.

Should I tip my cleaner?
Tips for our Divas are neither expected nor required. Leaving them a simple note letting them know how well they did will mean a lot to them. Our Divas want to know that their work met or exceeded your expectations. However, if you do wish to leave a tip, please place it on the kitchen counter.

What if my cleaning schedule falls on a holiday?
If your scheduled cleaning falls on a holiday, we will contact you in advance to reschedule.

Can I hire one of your cleaning professionals directly?
Unfortunately, our Divas are not available for direct hire. A great deal of time and resources is put into hiring and training our staff. Each Diva signs a contract with us agreeing not to solicit or accept direct employment from any of our customers for a period of two years from the date that employee last worked for Domestic Divas of Charleston.
